Management of GQI and KTR meets in Guangzhou

Mr. Choi Hyeongki, president of Korea Testing & Research Institute (KTR), together with 5 of his colleagues met with his counterpart, Mr. Chen Jinhan, managing director of Guangdong Testing Institute of Product Quality Supervision (GQI) in the headquater of GQI on Dec 11, 2015. Mr. Choi has just finished his meetings in AQSIQ and CNCA in Beijing. During the visit at GQI, both parties exchanged pragmatic opinions on how to strengthen and extend existing cooperation between them.


Mr. Chen Jinhan, first of all congratulated the national award that KTR was granted by Korean president on Oct 23, 2015 for their contribution in certification and standardization in Korea. He presented to Mr. Choi the organization structure, qualification, testing equipment, scientific achievements and human resource of GQI and stressed that Guangdong is one of the most important provinces in China in the SINO-Korea trade, which accounts for one third of the total bilateral business volume. GQI is one of the Chinese institutes that can provide integral services, such as testing, certification, calibration, standardization etc, with leading advantages in area such as electrical safety, medium and low voltage transmission and distribution, food safety, mechanical safety, furniture, painting and dopes, fire-fighting testing etc. Mr. Chen hoped that both parties may promote bilateral visit on both the management and technical expert level, strengthen cooperation in training and technical exchange etc, so as to provide better service to our customers.  


Mr. Choi Hyeongki said KTR in one renowned Korean testing and certification institute established in 1969, with strong capability and rich customer base and market experience in Korea and Asia. KTR is pushing ahead its business in China and in Guangdong Province. He was looking forward to meeting delegation of GQI at KTR in the near future. Both parties will take advantage of the huge opportunity that was brought about by the Chinese “one belt, one road” initiatives and contribute to the development of the trade between China and Korea.

Both parties agreed to reach one other agreement on how to strengthen their bilateral cooperation as soon as possible.
