Recently,Mr.Chen Haibo, Head of Illumination & Reliability Testing Lab of GQI and Secretary General of GuangdongIlluminating Engineering Society, was invited to attend the Hong Kong International Lighting Symposium andpresented a paper of "Study onHealthy Classroom Lighting Retrofit and UGR Measurement Position".

With the theme of "Innovative Lighting", thissymposium is dedicated to jointly promote the development of global lighting technologies. More than 200 people participated in the symposium, including representativesfrom relevant Hong Kong government departments and lighting companies participating in the 25th Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition), as well as the heads and members of lighting societies from China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and other countries.

Mr.Chen Haibo introduced the Guangdong provincial standard "Technical Specifications for Classroom Lighting in primary and secondary Schools" led byGQI, shared the experienceon improvement andevaluation of primary and secondary school classroom lighting projects participated byGQI, as well as the research results of classroom glare UGR test position, andhad in-depthdiscussions with experts, scholars and enterprise representatives attending the symposium.

During this period, the expert group ofGQI also visited Hong Kong Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, Hong Kong Standards and Testing Center,CIEHong Kong and Macao Institution of Illumination and Photonics. All parties intend to cooperate for promoting the development of lighting technologies in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area, the development of the "Bay Area Standard" and "Bay Area Certification".
