On July 10th, Guangdong Administration for Market Regulation held a meeting in GQI to publicize and promote the implementation rules of the CCC Certification for Wire and Cable and the Standards for Flame-retardant Cables.

Liu Kunmao, the deputy director of the Product Certification Department of CTC (Guangdong Quality Testing CTC Certification Co., Ltd. ), introduced and explained the differences between the old and new versions of the implementation rules and implementation details for wires and cables, as well as the specific requirements for CCC certification of flame-retardant wires and cables to the participants. Lu Jianfeng, an engineer from the Electrical Appliances Testing Department of GQI, interpreted the standard GB 31247-2014《Classification for burning behavior of electric and optical cables》and GB/T 19666-2019《General rules for flame retardant and fire resistant electric wires and cables or optical fiber cables》, analyzing the specific clauses of the standards and enhancing the participants’ understanding of the standards through several cases.

The meeting set up an on-site interactive Q&A session. Representatives from various enterprises actively raised questions regarding the rules and standards, and technical experts responded to them one by one. The atmosphere at the scene was warm and active, the exchanges were in-depth, and the anticipated effect was achieved.

This meeting has built a two-way interactive communication platform between enterprises and institutions of testing and certification, offering valuable guidance and assistance for relevant enterprises to apply for CCC certification. The delegates stated that they would further strengthen product quality management, actively participate in the mandatory certification of flame-retardant wire and cable products, and jointly promote the high-quality development of the industry.
