On June 27, the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA) issued the “Announcement of the National Certification and Accreditation Administration on the Designation Decision of Compulsory Product Certification Laboratories”(No. 12 of 2024). GQI has successfully passed the selection of compulsory product certification laboratories by the CNCA and was designated as the compulsory certification laboratory for electronic toilet products, thereby being capable of undertaking corresponding testing tasks.

On July 4, He Weihong, the deputy director of the Electrical Appliances Testing Department of GQI, and Liu Guishen, the director of Chaozhou Institute of Quality and Metrology Supervision and Inspection，went to Guangdong Liju Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd to conduct an on-site investigation into the current status of the electronic toilet products industry, providing the company with product quality and safety diagnosis services, which helps the company solve the practical technical problems and enhance the product quality.

Since the electronic toilet product is included in the national compulsory product certification catalogue, the quality requirements for smart cover plates and electronic components in the production process have been increasing constantly. GQI, as one of the first batch of designated laboratories for mandatory certification of electronic toilet products, will fully exert its professional and technical capabilities in this product field, assist companies in continuously improving their research and development capabilities of products, and provide strong and solid support for the high-quality development of China’s sanitary ware industry.
