On February 22,the first event of Guangzhou segment for theField Visit of Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Project,Strengthening National QualityInfrastructure and Implementation of National Certification Body for Certifying Product,Process and Service,which was hosted by theState Administrationfor MarketRegulationand co-sponsored by the GuangdongAdministration for MarketRegulation, was held at the headquarters of GQI. Fifteen government officials and technicalexperts in the field of conformity assessment from Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar had an in-depth study and exchange with our experts.

 

Promoted by the State Administrationfor MarketRegulation and the Ministry of Science and Technology of Myanmar, the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Project is aprofound practice ofareas cooperation in the field of conformity assessment, which has agreat significance in promoting theconnectivity of regional quality infrastructures, such as testing and certification,enhancing the quality and international competitiveness of regional products, as well as facilitatingregional trade.

Ourexperts shared the presentationon the policies, regulations and implementations for the quality supervision of electronic and electrical product , China Compulsory Certification (CCC certification), voluntary certification and the promotion role of conformity assessment in ensuring product qualityand safety as well asenhancing the effectiveness of product quality supervision. The delegationalso shared the experiences and challenges of their respective countries in product quality supervision, and had in-depth discussions withour experts on the difficulties in the process of product quality supervision of electrical and electronic products,the way to enhance the capacity of conformity assessment in the Lancang-Mekong region, as well as the promotion of trade facilitation by conformity assessment, and other issues.

 

During theevent, the delegation alsovisitedour key laboratories, such as the 10-meterAnechonic Chamber, 500kV Ultra High Voltage Laboratory, and Intelligent Lighting Classroom, etc., and highly praised our technical strength and innovation ability in the field of electronic and electrical products testing.
